Why Props Are Important

I love using props in my newborn sessions that are safe, versatile, and those that add a touch of magic to every image.

Why Props are important in Newborn Photography

Props play an important role in your newborn session. They are designed to keep babies secure while allowing for creative poses. Props also help to tell a story, from cozy, sleepy vibes to playful or whimsical setups. Customizing each prop, textures, and outfits mean that each session feels unique and personal. Most importantly, thoughtfully curated props are timeless and enhance the overall photo, helping parents remember these first precious days for years to come.

Here are some of my favorites.

Tiny Beds
There’s something about seeing a newborn on a tiny bed that just melts my heart. Tiny beds are great for peaceful poses like babies lying on their bellies. I also have a variety of beds, mattresses, sheets, and pillows & pillowcases.

Shallow Bowls and Baskets
Baskets and bowls are classic props in newborn photography. They offer a lot of versatility and can be used with babies wrapped, swaddled, or dressed in a little cute outfit. Each bowl or basket is safely lined and padded to give babies a secure and snug environment.
